How do I learn to teach the programs?

Empowering Schools for Sustainability

Using an Educate the Educator Model

Educating the educator prepares school professionals to tackle mental health in safe, appropriate ways. Educators can do this by normalizing conversations, building shared values and vocabularies, and being ready to assist students who may be experiencing mental distress.

Each of our three classroom education programs offers an implementation plan. These plans can be accessed on the Resource Portal on each of the Level I, II or III pages under “Plan & Implement - How to Teach.” There is a plan for teaching the one-day program or the Full program as well as an implementation training video you can watch where the Erika’s Lighthouse staff walks you through important information.

Providing One-on-One Support

Every educator, counselor, social worker, school or district has access to Erika’s Lighthouse one-on-one support. Our Education Team is comprised of experts in education, public health, social work and counseling. We have been doing this work for 20 years and no school is different. We help every school find the right fit for them.

We are always available to help discuss the best ways our programs and resources can be utilized in your schools.
