What is Staff Training?
All staff need to be prepared to be a trusted adult and ally.
School staff are role models and trusted adults.
Everyone, no matter their role, has an opportunity to support a child’s mental health.
Our staff training is a series of prepared modules to ensure that all school employees are knowledgeable and educated on signs and symptoms of depression and suicide, being a trusted adult & helping a student, and crisis intervention. We have an Individual Training course that is intended for school staff to complete on their own. We also provide materials for schools to host a group training. All training modules are available in English and Spanish.
Each registrant completing the individual training modules will receive a Certificate of Completion after going through all lessons and passing accompanying quizzes.
Many states and BOEs have approved Erika's Lighthouse Staff Training to meet the mandate for annual staff suicide prevention training.
