Will you come to my school and teach the program to students, staff or families?
You know your school community best.
In general, the answer is no. Our programs and efforts are focused on starting conversations, and once school professionals start them, they continue. Young people want to talk about mental health. We believe that mental health programs should be taught and implemented by school staff to ensure the people teaching the program are available as potential trusted adults to students who may be experiencing depression or other mental health issues. In a few unique situations, we have assisted districts with more personalized staff training, but that is not standard practice. You can always ask your assigned Erika’s Lighthouse Education Team Member for additional information, we are happy to help.
